What should I know about estate planning?

Answered By Randy Yingger, Editor

Estate planning is very intricate and is subject to the ever-changing laws. But generally, estate planning is your will, your decision on how to divide the assets and wealth you have accumulated over your lifetime among your heirs.

Having a good estate planning allows for the transfer of all those assets to your heir’s worry-free and minimal tax deductions. There is a complex process involved, this includes the listing of all your assets and liabilities, establishing a trustee, and making the will.

You need to know the existing laws of your state before you plan your estate. This way, you can have an effective estate plan that can benefit your love ones greatly.
